Untitled Document Rev. B. Griffith

Dear brother I have attended two protracted meetings and one Association last month when I arrived on the Neosho river I found the brethren holding a meeting in the woods, near Forest hill, we had a solemn time and much serious attention was manifest, we then proceeded to Alma where Elder Duby resides here we constituted a church brother Duby is poor but has rendered good service here for two years past he will take charge of the newly organized church. We then proceeded to the meeting of the Neosho Valley Bap. Association It was a very harmonious assembly 8 churches were represented Love and union was clearly manifest and no vexed question was allowed to disturb their peace, I find the people friendly but very destitute they request me to return in the Spring when they think they will be better prepared to buy books.

Affectionately yours Robt. Simerwell
