The present month I have been much hindered by sickness have visited several neighborhoods
and sold some books and donated some where I hope they will do good on this tour
I have met with those who stile themselves Baptists but hold erronious views I
hope the books they received will assist in seting them right. I generally find
easy access to the people and good is being done by means of books and tracts
distributed people will read and convertion is often the result. Next Sunday I
expect to attend the organization of a church on Mission Creek where I have distributed
books early in the Spring here are some Pedo Baptists who are ready to unite when
the church is constituted The people are generally well disposed toward Sunday
Schools and every neighborhood is being well supplied, in the Country they are
mostly on the union plan but in the larger towns the Baptists have their own denominational
Schools. in visiting schools I have been pleased to see the interest and zeal
manifested by Teachers and pupils one small but interesting school has been started
in my own house three miles from Auburn no school house as yet have been erected.
May the blessing of God attend us in our effort to spread a knowledge of the truth
Affectionately your Servt. In Christ
