Gov. Robinson
Hon. and Dear Sir.

The undersigned your constituents and political friends represent that we are to have a Mass Meeting, to endorse the action of the convention of Lawrence, on Monday evening next at this place. It is the expressed desire of our citizens to have you with them and address the meeting. You will gratify the wishes of Topeka if you can be with us. Allow us to add that there is no community that hold you in higher esteem than Topeka though we are compelld to differ with you upon the question of voting for state officers under the Lecompton Constitution.
