We understand that you will issue Circulars calling to-

gether the National Committee at Saratoga on the 27th inst. We suppose this will meet the approval of the rest of the committee. Dr. Howe concurs with me in the necessity for this. Please advise with the members at Chicago. We think it courteous & desirable to have Gerritt Smith of Peterborough invited to meet with us. please be particular on this point.

It is desirable that full reports of our proceedings since the organization of 9th ult. be laid before the Committee. Please see that minutes are all written up and accounts – with vouchers presented.
