Letter, Chas. Blair to Mr. [John] Brown Author: Blair, Charles Date: April 15, 1857 On April 15, 1857, Blair wrote Brown regarding the latter's report to him that the National Kansas Committee had turned down his request for funds to cover the first payment on the spears. Blair had stopped production, awaiting "further order from you," but said he was willing to make 500 instead of 1000 for the same rate.
