Statement, Rev. W. R. Davis for Bluemont College Author: Davis, W.R. Date: May 20, 1860 W. R. Davis, President of Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas Territory, composed this statement, which declared that Bluemont College, founded by Isaac Goodnow, would "not interfere with the legitimate work of Baker University." Davis too believed that the College fulfilled a "great want" in the new Territory.
