Letter, H. M. Simpson to Hiram Hill Author: Simpson, H.M Date: January 18, 1857 H. M. Simpson wrote from Lawrence, Kansas Territory, to Hiram Hill. Simpson reported that, since two new hotels were being built in addition to the Emigrant Aid Hotel, Hill's fellow investors in the Cincinnati House (hotel), may want to discontinue its use as a hotel. He suggested that the building might better serve as a store or shop.
