Simpson to Hiram Hill Author: Simpson, Samuel Newell Date: April 30, 1856 Samuel Simpson wrote from Kansas Territory to Hiram Hill in Williamsburgh, Massachusetts, regarding recent land propositions and "excitement": U.S. Troops had been in and out of Lawrence daily, looking to arrest various citizens.
