Letter, G. P. Lowrey to Dear Madam [Sarah Robinson] Author: Lowrey, G.P. (Grosvenor P.) Date: May 24, 1856 Grosvenor Lowrey, having recently gone into hiding near Hudson, Michigan, wrote to Sarah Robinson, Charles Robinson's wife. Lowrey told her of her husband's arrest which, as he reported, was for "conniving the assault against Jones" (Sheriff Jones) instead of under charges of high treason. Lowrey offered himself in service to both of the Robinsons, available upon their request.
