Letter, Hugh S. Walsh to General [James W. Denver] Author: Walsh, Hugh Sleight Date: November 22, 1858 Acting Governor Hugh S. Walsh, writing from Lecompton, Kansas Territory to former territorial governor James W. Denver, described his strategy for the upcoming session of the territorial legislature. Walsh expressed the opinion that the legislature, due to voting irregularities, was not truly representative of the people of the territory.
