A typical, printed town share certificate, these two documents certified that "Dr. Chas Robinson" had two shares each of which was for "one share of six lots in the City of Riley, Kansas Territory." They were signed by John Westover and Robert Klotz at Riley City, February 19, 1856.

Letter, J. W. Robinson to G.W. Collamore, Esq.

J. W. Robinson wrote from Manhattan, Kansas Territory, to George Collamore. Robinson sought to have up to $1000 worth of doors and sashes shipped to him in Manhattan, and offered to trade some of his properties in Quindaro, St. George, Ashland, and Pittsburg for them. He described all of these properties as good investments, not "paper cities".

Thomas H. Webb, secretary of the New England Emigrant Aid Company, wrote from Boston, Massachusetts to Martin F. Conway, general agent for the New England Emigrant Aid Company in Kansas Territory. Webb informed Conway that the Company's Executive Committee had approved a proposal to sell mill equipment to the Batcheller Town Company.
